It may sound ridiculous, but the multiple-reboot routine on Azure servers could send a signal to CrowdStrike to apply a fix. ‚Can solve itself after 3 reboots, could take 15 or more,‘ one admin says.

The company offered the troubleshooting tip to customers using its Azure cloud server business. Friday’s outage has not only bricked Windows PCs running CrowdStrike’s security software but servers too.
CrowdStrike—a major antivirus provider—has isolated the problem to a faulty update, which it has since rolled back. But companies are scrambling to restore their systems. In a support article, Microsoft confirmed that an Azure server running the CrowdStrike Falcon agent on a Windows virtual machine can put a system in a restart state.
