A rabbi protesting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the U.S. this week asked, „How can we not stand up?“
On Wednesday, Rabbi Linda Holtzman appeared on CNN’s Netanyahu Address to Congress special to talk about the Israeli Prime Minister’s planned joint address to Congress this week, amid Israel’s ongoing war with Hamas militants.
During her appearance on CNN, Holtzman spoke about her arrest a day earlier for a protest and explained that she was leading a prayer „that is really the essence of saying that God is one, which means that all humanity is one and that we need to treat each other as if we are all one.“
„If that’s the case, how can we not stand up when there’s an attempted genocide? How can we not stand up when we see Palestinians being treated the way they are treated“, Holtzman added.
