Deku lost his quirk following the war in MHA. This didnt stop him however from gaining power.
My Hero Academia ended recently, and it is safe to say that this chapter was one of the most emotional ones that fans got to witness in the story. Of course, My Hero Academia didn’t have the perfect end that many fans would have wanted and it is often quite difficult for stories to end on the perfect note.
Regardless, what fans know is that My Hero Academia is an incredibly brilliant story and one that they will remember for generations to come. The protagonist of the series, Izuku Midoriya, is going to continue being a Hero right until the very end, even after losing his Quirk. In fact, as a Hero, his end-of-series strength is a very intriguing talking point among the fans because he recently seemed to get a major power-up. My Hero Academia’s final war ended with Izuku Midoriya losing his Quirk. This was surprising to many fans because they expected him to maintain this power until the very end. This is especially because Izuku earned his power, and he put everything into making it his own. From training his body relentlessly to suffering grievous injuries, Izuku did it all. Izuku still had the embers of the One For All inside of him for quite a while. In fact, fans expected him to hold this power in him until the very end, leaving the future of the story ambiguous. However, My Hero Academia chapter 430 confirmed that it was not to be.
Deku officially lost the power of One For All completely when the embers were confirmed to have burnt out. By the time he graduated, the embers were gone forever, and Izuku was Quirkless once again. This was quite sad for the fans, especially the ones who wanted him to continue being a Hero.
This meant that he could not be a Hero again, and that his future was different from that of his friends. It also meant that Izuku was isolated quite a bit from everyone else and this was certainly not a good ending for him, unfortunate as that may be. However, the author of the series decided to give him a major power-up that flipped his ending on its head.
