Shohei Ohtani’s status for Dodgers vs. Yankees World Series Game 3 has been revealed by manager Dave Roberts.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told ESPN’s Karl Ravech that Shohei Ohtani will play in Game 3 of the World Series against the Yankees.
Roberts said Ohtani is „in a great spot and will be playing in Game 3 tomorrow“, per Ravech.
This is a massive sigh of relief for the Dodgers, as Ohtani suffered a shoulder injury in Game 2 of the World Series, a 4-2 Dodgers win.
Ohtani attempted to steal second base in the bottom of the seventh inning, and hurt his shoulder in the process.
On the FOX broadcast, Ken Rosenthal reported that it was a shoulder injury. On the Japanese broadcasts, it was picked up that Ohtani said his shoulder popped out.
Ohtani left Dodger Stadium immediately after the game ended and didn’t speak to reporters.
