The leak of the AMD Ryzen AI MAX 300 series APUs may feature four SKUs with Zen 5 CPU and RDNA 3.5 GPU.
The roadmap for AMD’s upcoming products in the mobile segment was recently leaked, and it showed some interesting developments, including Ryzen APU refreshes, Strix Halo series, and Radeon 8000S series integrated graphics. AMD has been working on the new APUs for a while now, and it is targeting Apple’s M3 Pro and M3 Max chips, in terms of performance. The leak comes from the Golden Pig Upgrade Pack via Weibo and shows that AMD will introduce two new APU families: Krackan Point, under the Ryzen AI 300 series, and a Hawk Point rebrand, under the Ryzen 200 series. The Krackan Point APUs have been mentioned in the past and are said to feature eight cores and 16 threads in a 4x Zen 5 + 4x Zen 5C configuration, with up to eight RDNA 3.5 compute units (CUs).
