The automaker had issues with detaching trims June 2024, recalling over 11,000 vehicles on account of similar issues.
New deliveries of Tesla’s Cybertruck are now on hold as trims are reportedly “flying off” the vehicle, Electrek reports.
According to conversations with auto dealers posted in an online community for Cybertruck owners, the issue is impacting the vehicle’s “cantrail trim.” This is located on the roof ledge of the vehicle, on the side just above the windshield.
Tesla has yet to officially confirm the existence of the issue. But several Tesla delivery specialists have reportedly told their clients that there is now a “containment hold” on deliveries of new Cybertrucks.
