Apple’s surprises for WWDC 2025 leak ahead of event

WWDC 2025 still had some tricks up its sleeve.
Apple’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) event for this year begins on June 9. Thanks to Apple insider Mark Gurman however, we now know most of what the company plans to show off at the event.
Consistent with reports circulating for weeks now, this year’s WWDC event will be a much more subdued affair when it comes to promises for the future. Apple doesn’t want the embarrassment of last year’s event: when it promised a ton of Apple Intelligence features that either remain absent or half-baked to this day.
To that end, the company will not focus as much on AI, opting instead for the tried and tested hype generation that comes after a complete software redesign. While some think that Apple is hurting itself by showing everyone that it’s lagging behind in AI, I think that most consumers will be happy to have an event that’s not entirely based around AI advancements.
Here’s everything we now know that Apple will showcase at WWDC 2025.
Remember iOS 7? That was when Apple completely redesigned its operating system for the iPhone, opting instead for a much sleeker and more modern look. The same thing is happening again, but this time with all of the operating systems under the company’s umbrella, even watchOS and tvOS. CarPlay will be getting redesigned too, as the idea is to provide a consistent experience across all Apple products.
The new design is based off visionOS, the operating system that powers the Apple Vision Pro MR (Mixed Reality) headset. All of Apple’s operating systems will get a much glassier look, and light will be used throughout the user interface to make for a visually appealing experience.
