The Outer Worlds was a big deal at the time for being the biggest in a wave of ‘budget‘ AAA games that aimed to prove that you could still make quality games with a smaller team by sticking to a strict scope. The Outer Worlds 2 was developed under a similar mindset so it came as a shock when Microsoft announced plans to charge a whopping $80 for the sequel, a decision that is now being reversed.
The Outer Worlds 2 will no longer cost $80 when it releases on October 29th.
