Karl Urban stars as Johnny Cage in Uncaged Fury, the fake movie within the Mortal Kombat II movie, slated to hit theaters October 24.
Mortal Kombat II, the sequel to Simon McQuoid’s 2021 film starring Lewis Tan, is slated to arrive later this October, and the newest teaser trailer, featuring Karl Urban’s Johnny Cage, is our first taste of what fans can expect.
As expected, the trailer puts Cage’s action-movie moves and persona on display. He’s pushing his sunglasses up his face with a raised middle finger aimed at his enemies, and using cheesy martial arts weapons to fend off baddies. It’s clear at times that Urban is being switched out with a stunt double. To cap it all off, the trailer ends in an explosion, before revealing the title card: Uncaged Fury.
