Apple has just made history by becoming the first company to build a complete end-to-end silicon chip supply chain entirely in the United States. The announcement comes as part of the company’s newly expanded American Manufacturing Program, or AMP, which now carries a $600 billion investment over the next four years, including a fresh $100 billion pledge specifically for U.S.-based chip production and supply chain development.
