Spotify is celebrating Taylor Swift’s new album with a three-day activation at High Line Nine in New York City, and it’s free and open to all fans from Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 — the day before the record’s Oct. 3 release date.
Page Six got a sneak peek at the pop-up on opening day, and in true TS style, it’s positively packed with Easter eggs. Below, some of the many we found tucked throughout “The Life of a Showgirl: A Spotify Experience.”
Visitors enter the experience through a massive orange door that bears a striking resemblance to the one seen during Taylor Swift’s very last Eras Tour performance of “Karma,” which signaled the end of one era and the beginning of another.
A nod to the title character from the album’s “Hamlet”-inspired lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia.” In Shakespeare’s play, Ophelia descends into madness after her father, Polonius, is murdered by her lover, Hamlet. She ultimately drowns in a river surrounded by flowers, in a scene evoked by Swift’s album cover.
