Mangione, 27, is accused of shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside of a hotel in Manhattan in December 2024. He is charged with 11 counts, including first-degree murder „in furtherance of an act of terrorism“; two counts of second-degree murder; two counts of stalking; and a firearms offense.
Mangione has pleaded not guilty to state and federal murder charges, as well as terrorism charges.
Shein is a Chinese-founded global e-commerce platform that sells fast fashion items. The success of the business has been attributed to younger millennials and Gen Z consumers. The retailer has faced with criticism and controversy over its working practices, including allegations of forced labor in its supply chain, which Shein have denied, as well as over its environmental impact.
