Fashion designer Giorgio Armani’s death at the age of 91, his company confirmed on Thursday.
The news comes one month after Armani’s company was fined €3.5 million ($4 million) by the Italian Competition Authority for alleged unfair commercial practices.

The Italian Competition Authority stated that Armani and one of its subsidiaries made „misleading“ statements regarding their ethical and social responsibility commitments, which were contradicted by the working conditions at suppliers and subcontractors.

The designer had been in declining health and missed Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week in June.
