President Trump’s announcement comes days before active duty members would have missed their first full paycheck as the shutdown of the federal government continues.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said he has „identified funds“ to ensure the active military gets paid next week, as Congress stalls over negotiations to reopen the federal government.
„I am using my authority, as Commander in Chief, to direct our Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to use all available funds to get our Troops PAID on October 15th.
