After hours of shiny hunting in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, your brain starts to play tricks on you. During one long session in Wild Area 16, using the bench method, I found myself fixating on the subtle shift in music between day and night. The evening theme, in particular, struck a familiar chord — something warm, rhythmic, and nostalgic. That’s when it hit me: a surprising amount of Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s soundtrack sounds like the background music from classic Black sitcoms.
I thought I was losing it, so I stepped away and gave myself a day to reset. However, when I picked up my Switch again, the connection only grew stronger. Suddenly, I could see scenes from Family Matters and The Cosby Show play out in my mind.
