Trump revokes Temporary Protected Status for Somalis, sparking debate on immigration policies.
Good, but I am afraid it is far too late to accomplish the task that was necessary.
Somewhere around 300,000 Somalis are in the United States as of now, and many have already been given green cards or even US citizenship over the years.

It is, I am afraid, not over at all. Trump’s move is welcome, of course, but as with so many steps necessary to clean up the mess created by far-too-liberal policies over the years, it is much more difficult to fix a problem that is eating away at the foundation of our society than to prevent the damage in the first place.

That’s why Ilhan Omar, who has been at the center of multi-billion-dollar fraud schemes and, of course, a rapid takeover of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, is crowing about how the Somalis have beaten the system.
Omar, we all know, is proud to be he DFL Representative of Somalia, and has traveled to that country many times (remember that she was a „refugee“ who was driven out of the country, right?) to proclaim her allegiance to that country over America, and who regularly says the same to her Somali constituents in the Somali language.
