Garmin announced the tactix 8 Cerakote Edition, a tactical smartwatch targeting military personnel and outdoor professionals who need reliable gear in harsh conditions.
The 51mm watch has a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with sapphire lens protection and a titanium bezel. A built-in LED flashlight handles low-light situations. Battery life reaches 29 days in smartwatch mode, reducing how often users need to charge during long missions.
The Cerakote finish is this model’s main feature. Garmin applies the ceramic-polymer coating by spraying each watch and baking it to cure.
