Just days after President Trump sent Nicolás Maduro on a one-way flight to the Southern District of New York—courtesy of U.S. Special Forces and the Department of Justice—it looks like another socialist strongman is starting to sweat under the collar. This time it’s Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro, who, bless his heart, insists he has nothing to worry about.
Cue President Trump, who at a Saturday press conference, delivered one of those classic, unfiltered reality checks that only he can serve: “He has cocaine mills. He has factories where he makes cocaine. And yeah, I think I stick by my first statement. He’s making cocaine and they’re sending it into the United States, so he does have to watch his ass.”
Oof.
Let’s be honest, you have to admire the clarity. There’s no need for a State Department spokesperson to “clarify” the president’s tone. He’s telling it like it is—and in Petro’s case, that means reminding him that the U.S. has eyes on those alleged drug labs, and we’re not exactly in the mood to look the other way.
