Vegas Golden Knights plus-100 at Washington Capitals: $800 to win $800
For all of their shocking success this season, the Golden Knights haven’t really faced a lot of adversity on the ice. They’ve breezed through the playoffs so far, with only a loss in the opening game of the Western Conference finals against the Winnipeg Jets providing the slightest speed bump.
Now, however, the Knights are facing a true must-win situation: After dropping a heartbreaker in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final at home, Vegas looked out of sorts in Game 3, and now the Washington Capitals have a 2-1 lead with Game 4 on their home ice.
Losing tonight would put Vegas in a 3-1 deficit and effectively end the Knights‘ Cinderella season. I think we’ll see a strong bounce-back performance, especially from goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, and the Knights will skate off with a series-evening victory.
Vegas has come too far in its inaugural season to go this quietly on the biggest stage. Expect their best performance of the postseason tonight, and a 2-2 series heading into Game 5 in Las Vegas.
