Samsung sent media invites to an Unpacked event
The Samsung Unpacked 2018 event will take place in New York City at the Barclays Center on August 9,2018, according to the invite, which doesn’t reveal much except for the fact that there might be an updated S Pen stylus and a gold color option, because, after all, the Galaxy Note is a business phone.
Of course, the Galaxy Note 9 should also sport upgrade components, including a better rear camera system that might be placed horizontally this time. Samsung also revealed earlier this year that the next Galaxy Note series will ship with its Bixby 2.0 intelligent personal assistant.
Unfortunately, if you’re waiting for in-display fingerprint sensor from the Galaxy Note 9, you should look elsewhere because that’s probably not gonna happen. Also, according to various rumors on the Internet, the design isn’t changed from last year’s Galaxy Note 8, which isn’t a big surprise at all.
However, the Galaxy Note series is designed for a specific niche, that of the business industry and enterprise world. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 could boast a generous 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display, no les than 6GB of RAM, and probably the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor as the Galaxy 9 and 9+ smartphones.
