Android One Nokia 3.1 coming to India this weekend; when will Nokia X6 global variant launch?

Nokia 3.1 will be available across online and at authorised brick-and-mortar retail chains starting from 21 July. Read to know when the much anticipated Nokia X6 might come to the Indian market.
HMD Global Oy is all set to release the company’s new generation budget Android One series phone, Nokia 3.1 in India.
Nokia 3.1 was originally unveiled alongside Nokia 5.1 and 6.1 in Russia, in May. Now, the company is rolling the most popular Nokia 3 series in India first, on July 21.
It sports a 5.2-inch HD+ screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, 1.5GHz MediaTek octa-core CPU, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB storage, 13MP rear side camera, 8MP front shooter and a 2,900mAh, which is enough to keep the phone running for a whole day under mixed usage.
It can be noted that the Nokia 3.1 is Google’s Android One -affiliated device and comes with pure Android Oreo software. It also confirmed the upcoming Android P later this year and Android Q, in 2019.
Once released, it will be competing with the popular Xiaomi Redmi 5, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Moto E5 Plus and Honor 9 Lite, among others.
Nokia 3.1 price and launch offers:
The new Nokia 3.1 with 2GB and 16GB will cost 10,499 from 21 July across top mobile retailers. It will also be available online on Nokia.com/phones and Paytm Mall. Consumers can avail exciting offers as below.
Prospective consumers are entitled to get 10 percent cash back at retail outlets by scanning the Paytm Mall QR code. It can only be redeemed on recharges and bill payments on Paytm.
Additionally, they get two cashback vouchers for movie tickets worth Rs 250 which can be redeemed against booking minimum two movie tickets via Paytm.
On the other hand, consumers using ICICI Bank Credit or Debit Card can claim a 5 percent cash back.
Idea and Vodafone consumers will get two exciting offers. On a recharge of Rs 149 pack, buyers will get 1GB data/day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS/day for 28 days. Additionally, the network users upgrading from 2G or 3G phone to the new Nokia 3.1 will get 1GB data/day for 28 days. On a recharge of Rs 595, users will get unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, 18GB data for 6 months.
As for Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 6.1, the company has so far made no any official comment on when the phones will be released in India, but they are likely to hit the stores in a couple months.
Besides the aforementioned devices, there is a huge pent-up anticipation for Nokia X6 among fans not just in India, but even in global regions.
It is currently available in China in three variants with competitive prices – 4GB RAM+ 32GB storage, 4GB RAM +64GB storage and 6GB RAM+64GB storage for – ¥1299 (approx. $204/€173/Rs 13,841) and ¥1499 (roughly. $235/€199/Rs 15,972) and ¥1699 (around $267/€226/ Rs 18,103), respectively.
Nokia X6 is confirmed to be released in Taiwan soon. But, this won’t be the last; the company is keen to bring the device in international markets, particularly in India, as the Nokia X6 has all perfect ingredients and also the apt price-tag to take on the established brands such as the Xiaomi, Motorola, Vivo and Oppo in the mid-range segment.
For those unaware, Nokia X6 sports a 5.8-inch full HD+ screen with a notch on the top, which houses a 16MP front camera with facial recognition feature. On the back, it comes with metallic shell, vertically aligned dual-camera and fingerprint sensor below it.
Under the hood, it comes packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core CPU, 4GB/6GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage, a 3060mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, Bluetooth v5.0 and other standard connectivity features.
The Nokia X6 also houses feature-rich Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered dual 16MP+5MP camera with dual-tone LED flash and is capable of recognizing the type of the scene. It is capable of detecting 13 different possible scenarios such as pets, flowers, human face, landscape, snowy conditions, night, food and more.
For instance, if you are pointing the camera to a garden, the camera will intuitively know you are taking a picture of a flower and adjusts the focus and other settings to get the best possible image. Or if you are taking the photo outdoors, it will automatically set the camera mode to landscape and cover a wider area in the single frame.
The front-camera too boasts AI-selfie with background blur feature and funny stickers for face to share it on social media channels.
We are certain that Nokia X6 will make its way to the Indian market sooner rather than later but with a different moniker Nokia 6.1 Plus.
