Earlier today, leakster Roland Quandt from WinFuture.de shared the prices of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 unlocked units in the UK ahead of the phablet’s official introduction on Thursday. Quandt has now come up with a new article on WinFuture.de, shedding some more light on the key features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, along with multiple official renders showing the device in four colors.
The images posted on WinFuture.de show the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 in the four official colors – Midnight Black, Metallic Copper, Ocean Blue, and Lilac Purple. However, just like the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S9 duo, the Galaxy Note 9 will not be available in all four colors in every market. In terms of design, as revealed by previously leaked renders, the Galaxy Note 9 can be considered to be a more refined version of its predecessor. While it doesn’t look very different from the front, Samsung has changed the position of the fingerprint sensor on the back, which is certainly going to be appreciated. In terms of physical dimensions, the report claims Galaxy Note 9 is largely identical to the Galaxy Note 8. That said, the curves on the sides of the display aren’t as pronounced and the bottom bezel also appears to be slightly slimmer in comparison. The report says the Galaxy Note 9 measures 8.8mm thin and weighs in at 201 grams. This is not surprising, however, as the device packs a large 4000mAh capacity battery for significantly improved stamina compared to its predecessors.
Apart from the official renders of the Galaxy Note 9, some key features of the device have also been detailed in the leaked marketing slides that have been included in the report. Let’s start with the S Pen first. The Galaxy Note 9 will come with a new S Pen that will have Bluetooth technology, allowing users to control the camera, presentations, and apps without having to touch the phone. It also has a fine tip and 4096 pressure levels.
When it comes to imaging, the key highlight will be the dual aperture in the main camera at the rear. Just like the Galaxy S9 Plus, the wide-angle lens on the Galaxy Note 9 will support f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture modes. You can use the f/2.4 aperture mode to take great shots on bright sunny days, while the f/1.5 aperture will let you capture impressive low-light shots. However, you will not have to put in much effort to take brilliant shots using the Galaxy Note 9 as it will come with an Intelligent Camera that will use AI to intelligently detect the scene and adjust all settings optimally. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be priced at upwards of Rs.70,000 in India for the 128GB storage. While we are not sure if Samsung will be bringing the 512GB storage variant to India, we can expect it to be priced above Rs.80,000 here. As for the release date, rumors suggest the Galaxy Note 9 will go on sale in India from the early September.
