Three months after launching it in Pakistan, Honor is all geared up to unveil the budget Honor 7S smartphone in India today. The company launched the Honor 7S at a price of PKR 14,999 in Pakistan, which is approximately Rs 8,500 converted. At the same time, Honor had unveiled the Honor 7A and Honor 7C phones here in India.
Honor will be holding an online launch event for the Honor 7S in India and it can be streamed live on the company’s Facebook and YouTube pages starting 2PM today. You can also follow the company’s Twitter handle for regular updates. The device will be unveiled by P Sanjeev, Vice President of Sales at Huawei India-Consumer Business Group and Flipkart’s VP Mobiles and Large Appliances, Ajay Veer Singh. Given the Flipkart involvement, the Honor 7S is expected to be exclusive to the ecommerce platform.
Going by the price and specifications, the Honor 7S is asmartphone and will compete against the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. It is possible that the company will launch the smartphone at a lower price point than the approximate converted value. Honor 7S Specifications: The Honor 7S features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a Mediatek MT6739 processor and has 2GB RAM + 16GB storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The handset is backed by a 3020mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo. In the camera department, the Honor 7S sports a rear 13MP with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and an LED flash. On the front, it will ship with a 5MP shooter with soft flash. The Honor 7S will also have the Smart Face Unlock feature.
