PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A 57-year-old Plainfield Township man died after his car went off Belmont Avenue NE and struck a tree, police said.
Daniel Clayborn Smith was driving a 2007 Buick Lucerne north on Belmont Avenue NE, north of VanDam Drive, when the vehicle went off the road and struck a tree about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.
The crash is under investigation, Kent County sheriff’s deputies said.
