The CW debuted Ruby Rose’s Batwoman costume, and it was as fierce as expected.
The super suit, which was designed by Colleen Atwood, is faithful to the comic book rendition, complete with the cape and Kate Cane’s red hair.
The 32-year-old actress will make her first appearance as Batwoman in The CW’s crossover show “Elseworlds.” The show will also feature Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Super Girl (Melissa Benoist).
Rose will likely have her own spinoff show as the Gotham City heroine, according to EW, as the network is currently developing a Batwoman series.
Batwoman was a watershed moment in comic book culture when she debuted in 2006 because she was one of DC’s first openly gay characters. And if a Batwoman spinoff is approved, it would be the first TV series featuring an LGBT superhero.
“Elseworlds” premieres on The CW on Sunday, Dec. 9.
