The Nokia X7 has been officially unveiled at an event HMD Global hosted in China today. The long-awaited Nokia X7 is widely expected to launch as the Nokia 7.1 Plus in the international market, and had been leaked multiple times before the event. The new Nokia smartphone has a 6.18-inch display with HDR support, dual rear cameras, and a large battery. It will be an Android One device, meaning it will get quick access to software updates and run stock Android software.
The Nokia 7.1 Plus price for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant has been set as RMB 1,699 (~Rs 18,000). Its 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model will set you back by RMB 1,999 (~Rs 21,000), while the top-end 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option costs RMB 2,499 (~Rs 26,600). The release date was not announced at the launch event. The smartphone will come in D ark Blue, Red, Silver, and Black colours.
Talking about the specs, the Nokia 7.1 Plus sports a 6.18-inch TFT display bearing a resolution of 2,246 x 1,080 pixels, 18.7:9 aspect ratio, and screen-to-body ratio of 86.5 percent. The display panel has HDR support and comes with brightness of 500 nits. Software-wise, the smartphone boots Android Oreo out of the box but will get Android 9.0 Pie soon, the company said at the event.
Moving on to the other features, the Nokia 7.1 Plus is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. As mentioned above, the smartphone comes in three RAM and storage variants – 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB. All variants will come with support for microSD cards of up to 400GB capacity.
