Samsung’s premium tablet, the Galaxy Tab S4 has finally made it to India. The Korean electronics giant first introduced the device back in August at an event in the US. This high-end tablet comes with AKG-tuned speakers and is Samsung’s first tablet with DeX integration. The Tab S4 is designed to make multi-tasking easy and also comes with an S Pen, similar to the one used on the Galaxy Note 9. The Galaxy Tab S4 has been priced at Rs.57,900 in India and will go on sale from October 18. The device will be available on Amazon, Samsung’s own online store, and all leading retail stores across the country. As part of the launch offers, users will get a cashback of Rs. 5000 upon making the payment through HDFC Bank cards. The cashback offer is also applicable to purchases made through Paytm Mall. Furthermore, Samsung has also partnered with Reliance Jio to offer instant cashback up to Rs. 2750 and double data benefits for up to 4 recharges.
As mentioned earlier, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes with DeX integration which makes it the first tablet to come with this feature. With Samsung DeX, you get the experience of a desktop with the mobility of a tablet. In the PC mode, you get a taskbar, multi-window capability, and support for gestures like drag & drop. The tablet also supports an additional keyboard accessory that can be purchased separately. The Tab S4 comes with a redesigned S Pen for easy scribbling and writing. The new S Pen also supports a’Live Message’ functionality that lets you create animated notes or translate text.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes with a large 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1600 in the 16:10 screen ratio. This translates to a PPI density of 287. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 2.35GHz, paired with 4GB RAM.
The device is backed by a 7,300mAh battery with support for fast charging. Samsung claims the device could last for 16 hours of with continuous video playback. The biometric security package includes iris scanning in addition to the face recognition. For additional protection, the tablet comes with the company’s defense-grade security platform, Samsung Knox. The Galaxy Tab S4 offers 64GB internal storage, that can be expanded further up to 400GB using a microSD card. The connectivity options that you get with the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct,,Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C USB 3.1.
The device is available in Black and Grey color variants. The device will be available for purchase from October 18.
