Leaks have emerged just days before the October 31 unveiling which give out major specifications, design features, and live images of the upcoming Honor Magic 2.
Honor Magic 2 is all set to launch at an event scheduled for October 31 in China. Teased initially at the Huawei sub-brand’s event at IFA 2018, the Honor Magic 2 is all set to arrive with the company’s flagship HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, a bezel-less display with a manual camera slider, and the latest 40W SuperCharge technology. Now, leaks have emerged online just days before the official unveiling which give out major specifications, design features, and live images of the upcoming Honor Magic 2.
Chinese actress Zanilia Zhao has posted several live images of the Honor Magic 2, which was apparently given to her by Huawei itself. The post on Weibo shows off the upcoming smartphone in a Red colour variant. The actress‘ post also reveals that the phone will get a custom virtual assistant called “Yoyo”. The back of the Magic 2 sports a triple camera setup at the back with all three sensors lined up vertically.
From a TENAA listing uploaded recently, we can see that the rear camera setup will get a 16-megapixel primary sensor, a 24-megapixel secondary sensor, and then a 16-megapixel tertiary sensor.
The TENAA listing also reveals certain other specifications of the Honor Magic 2. The smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie, and sports a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.
The phone appears to have a total of 6 cameras; a 16+24+16 megapixel combo at the back and a 16+20+2 megapixel one at the front. If indeed true, this would be the first smartphone in the world to achieve this kind of a feat. The Honor Magic 2 is listed to get a 3,400mAh battery under the hood, with support for 40W fast charging. Other features include in-display fingerprint sensor and 3D face recognition.
