A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man earlier this year after an argument at an apartment complex west of downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.
Tarran Wilhelmi, 21, was taken into custody Thursday by the Madison Police Department in Wisconsin, Metro said. He is awaiting extradition to Las Vegas, Metro said.
In announcing the arrest, Metro did not specify what role Wilhelmi allegedly played in the incident nor what charges he faces.
According to Metro, patrol officers responded about 8:20 p.m. on May 24 to an apartment complex in the 100 block of South Martin Luther King Boulevard to investigate reports of a shooting. Officers found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, Metro said.
The victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.
Metro said the victim was in an argument with several people when someone fired a handgun multiple times, striking the victim. Everyone involved fled before police arrived, Metro said.
