Two more victims of the deadliest wildfire to ever hit California have been identified.
One of the victims, Carl Wiley, 77, will be buried next to his late wife Mary Lee, who died of cancer nearly three decades ago, his son James Wiley said.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that it had identified Wiley, a former tire recapper for Michelin, as one of the 42 people killed in the Camp Fire.
The small town of Magalia, where Wiley lived, and neighboring Paradise were devastated by the blaze.
Another Paradise resident, Ernie Foss Jr., was identified as the other victim by his daughter, Angela Loo.
Foss, 63, was found on a street outside his home, lying next to his dead dog Bernice, KTVU-TV reported .
“We’re devastated,” Loo told the outlet.
She said her dad, a musician, had moved to Paradise eight years ago because of how expensive San Francisco had gotten.
He used to teach music lesson from their home, near San Francisco’s famous Haight Street and had turned their living room into a studio.
Foss had advanced lymphedema and could not walk, his daughter said, adding she doesn’t know how he got outside.
An ailing, 70-year-old woman named Ellen Walker was found dead in bed at her home in Concow, near Paradise and identified Sunday .
