The Samsung’s “top secret phone“ could come with a 6.7-inch display and could be launched after Mobile World Congress 2019.
Samsung is reportedly working a smartphone with a total 6 cameras along with 5G connectivity support. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the smartphone is referred to the previously leaked “Beyond X”. The phone could house a quad-lens camera setup at the back along with a dual-lens camera on the front for selfies. Samsung has just launched its first quad-lens rear camera-based Galaxy A9 (2018) in India. As far as the different lenses in the camera are the concerned, the Galaxy A9 comes with a 24MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture along with a 5MP sensor for depth effect with an aperture of f/2.2. There is an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor offering up to 120-degree viewing angle along with a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and supports up to 2X optical zoom.
Meanwhile, Samsung is reportedly planning to launch a 5G variant of its next flagship smartphone–Galaxy S10–that could come with 12GB of RAM. Samsung will most likely launch three models of the Galaxy S10 smartphone in the form of Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10 X along with a 5G variant in select markets dubbed as S10 X 5G. While Samsung will offer just 4GB of RAM with the base variant of the Galaxy S10, it is only the Galaxy S10 X 5G variant that will come with 12GB of RAM.
Apart from the RAM, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 is likely to come with three cameras on the back. The primary camera is said to be of 12-megapixel sensor with variable aperture f/1.5-2.4, another 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 123-degree field of view and third of 13-megapixel with f/2.4 aperture sensor. Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy S10 during the first quarter of the year 2019. Next year will mark tenth anniversary of Samsung’s Galaxy S series.
