America’s celebration of the life of George H. W. Bush reaches a climax Wednesday with a state funeral at Washington National Cathedral. The body of the former president, who died Friday night at the age of 94, arrived in Washington on Monday and lay in state at the U. S. Capitol. Former President George W. Bush will deliver the eulogy. Other speakers are expected to include former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former Senator Alan Simpson and biographer Jon Meacham. President Donald Trump, who has clashed with the Bush family, will attend the funeral but is not scheduled to speak. Following the D. C. funeral, Bush’s remains will be returned to Houston, where a funeral service and burial are set for Thursday.
