Following the end of Awesome Games Done Quick 2019, organizers announce that this year’s event raises more than $2 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
Last week the annual charity speedrunning event, Awesome Games Done Quick 2019, officially went live, giving viewers and attendees the chance to watch some contemporary titles and classic releases of yore get beaten at incredibly fast clips. Now, AGDQ 2019 has finally come to a close after a full week of speedrunning and live streaming, and event organizers have announced that the event has managed to raise a whopping $2.39 million dollars for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
There’s no doubt that Awesome Games Done Quick has definitely grown from its humble origins back in 2011, with 2019’s event seeing over 2,220 folks attend in person and with there having been 133 games getting the speedrun treatment.
