John Kelly worked for President Donald Trump as his White House chief of staff for 18 months from July 2017 to January 2019 and was employed as his Homeland Security secretary prior to that.
Kelly, who is a retired U. S. Marine Corps general, described working as Trump’s chief of staff as the “least enjoyable job I’ve ever had,” but added that he “helped the administration, the president of the United States, make the very best decisions that he could based on the information that we could provided him.
