Highlights include the Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra’s performance of ‘La Bayadère’ and the world premiere of a new work by choreographer Alexei Ratmansky.
The Segerstrom Center for the Arts will present a performance of “La Bayadère” by the Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra, the world premiere of a new work by American Ballet Theatre’s Artist-in-Residence Alexei Ratmansky and the ballet “Onegin” by Teatro Alla Scala Ballet Company as part of its 2019-20 International Dance Series.
The center’s dance season will also include American Ballet Theatre’s annual presentation of “The Nutcracker.” The holiday performances, which will take place Dec. 13-22, are not included in subscriptions to the dance series but subscribers will have the opportunity to add “The Nutcracker” to their season package before tickets go on sale to the general public.
