Following the ban on popular apps like TikTok and PUBG earlier in the year, India has now banned 43 additional Chinese apps citing security concerns. Citing section 69A of the Information Technology Act, the order issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology claims that the apps are “engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, security of state and public order.
