The Dollar Tree is now a lie. The affordably priced national chain announced Tuesday that it is raising its costs to $1.25, covering for increasing higher merchandise and operation costs, like payroll. “Lifting the one-dollar constraint represents a monumental step for our organization and we are enthusiastic about the opportunity to meaningfully improve our shoppers’ experience and unlock value for our stakeholders,” CEO Michael Witynski said in a statement.
