The beef between the former presidential primary foes continues over the direction of the Democratic Party.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) hit back at President Joe Biden Sunday morning, saying the two have “strong differences,” four days after Biden similarly distanced himself from the democratic socialist politician. Sanders said that he “respects” what Biden has done in his first year as president, but he is “a progressive who believes that the Democratic Party should make it clear that we are prepared to take on powerful special interests, like the drug companies, like the insurance companies, like the fossil fuel industry and we have to demand that the wealthiest are paying their fair share of taxes.
