Laken Hope Riley, 22, was found dead near a lake on the University of Georgia’s campus in Athens on Thursday with “visible injuries,” UGA Police Chief Jeff Clark told reporters.
Authorities found Riley, a nursing student at Augusta University, on Thursday afternoon after a friend reported her as never having returned from a run.
The University of Georgia confirmed immediately that foul play was suspected, but Clark said Thursday night there were not yet any suspects in the case.
