A commander in the Ukrainian army has been charged after he allegedly gathered 100 soldiers for a celebration on the front line despite a ban by the Ukrainian General Staff, making them a target for a deadly Russian attack.
Twelve soldiers and seven civilians were killed when Russian missiles and drones struck the gathering in the Dnipropetrovsk region on November 1, the General Prosecutor’s Office said in Kyiv on Saturday.
