Being only a month away from the unveiling of the production version of the Tesla Model 3, a set of photos has been posted online that show off the near production model in great detail.
It was little over a year ago when Tesla announced its Model 3. While the firm has been known to offer a premium experience with its Model S, the Model 3 is its first attempt to offer an electric vehicle with features from its more expensive line, at a more accessible price point. With the production model set to make its debut next month, it appears that one eagle-eyed and highly motivated Tesla fan was able to catch the vehicle out in public and took numerous photos before sharing them online.
According to the photographer, the set of pictures was taken in San Mateo, California, where the vehicle was pulling in for a charge at a Tesla Supercharger location. While the car was attended to by a Tesla employee, they apparently didn’t mind photos of the vehicle being taken. As you can see from the small sample posted here, there are clear shots of the interior, exposing the center-mounted display and also the glass roof. Furthermore, there is a close-up shot of the Autopilot system.
These images are important because they may likely indicate what consumers should expect when they take delivery of their own Model 3s. For now, those that place a reservation for a vehicle will be expected to wait until sometime in 2018 to take delivery. The Model 3 amassed nearly 300,000 pre-orders during its first few days of being available.
