CBS drama restocks after three longtime cast members exit.
CBS has recruited three new stars for the upcoming eighth season of Hawaii Five-0.
The network is upgrading Ian Anthony Dale to series regular and bringing in two newcomers, Canadian actress Meaghan Rath and New Zealand-born actor Beulah Koale.
Wednesday’s announcement followed the recent departures of original cast members Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, who exited the police drama after contract disputes earlier this summer. Their exits followed that of Masi Oka, who left midway through the most-recent season.
Dale has had a recurring role on Hawaii Five-0 as Adam Noshimuri since Season 2. This summer, he is starring in CBS‘ suspense thriller Salvation.
Rath starred in Syfy’s version of Being Human and the short-lived Fox comedy Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life. Koale appears in the forthcoming feature Thank You for Your Service.
They’ll join returning stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Chi McBride and Jorge Garcia when the new season begins Sept. 29.
