Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Sunday marked the 72nd anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, in which 140,000 people were killed when the U. S. dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city, even as the nuclear threat from nearby North Korea grows.
When asked whether his country would take more aggressive action against North Korea, Abe did not rule anything out.
“At the present time, we are not planning any specific deliberations about possessing“ weapons, the prime minister said at a news conference after the official Hiroshima memorial ceremony.
