Here’s a guide to Cleveland County prep football for 2017
▪ After winning seven games in 2014 and ‘15, Burns rebounded to go 10-3 last season. The Bulldogs move to the Big South conference this season.
▪ Crest won 32 straight games and two straight N. C. 3AA state championships in 2014 and ‘15. The Chargers were 9-4 last season and start under a new coach, Nick Eddins, this season. Crest returns 14 starters and 30 lettermen.
▪ Shelby returns eight starters and 35 lettermen from unbeaten state champ. Shelby is 59-7 the past four years.
