Japan’s first lady Akie Abe said absolutely nothing to United States President Donald Trump during a G20 summit meeting that lasted for around two hours, which led the president to believe that she simply didn’ t speak any English.
In an interview with The New York Times that was published on Wednesday, Trump recalled that it was “hard” to sit next to Abe. He said that she was a “terrific woman” but added that because she “doesn’ t speak English” made things difficult.
