Trump said he spoke to Jones Tuesday, Sept. 26 and that „Jerry is a winner who knows how to get things done. Players will stand for Country!“
Donald Trump tweeted that he and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke after the past weekend of increased player protests and heated exchanges between the president and the NFL.
Trump said he spoke to Jones Tuesday, Sept. 26 and that „Jerry is a winner who knows how to get things done. Players will stand for Country!“ The 71-year-old president has said that players kneeling during the national anthem „has nothing to do with race“ and is about respect for the country.

Detroit Lions owner Martha Ford joined her team on the sideline, linking arms with her daughters and safety Glover Quin.

This all came after Stephen Curry said he did not want to visit the White House with the 2017 NBA champion Golden State Warriors. Trump responded by revoking the invitation to the two-time NBA MVP who said he didn’t want to visit.
