A Fenton man’s Powerball ticket just made him $1 million richer.
Edmond Nicaj, 41, matched the five white balls drawn Wednesday — 24-26-28-59-63.
He purchased his ticket at the Great Lakes Family Restaurant, located at 963 South Grand Avenue in Fowlerville.
“I buy a Powerball ticket every once in a while, and it really paid off this time,” Nicaj told the Michigan Lottery. “I checked my ticket the morning after the drawing, and couldn’t stop jumping around.
His six kids were especially excited.
“My kids heard me and came running upstairs to check on me and then they started jumping around,“ Nicaj said. „My six-year-old asked me how many zeros would be on my check.”
They’ll get a piece of the winnings, too. Nicaj plans to set aside money for each child. He’ll pay bills with the rest.
