According to Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, jumping to the conclusion about Star Wars Battlefront 2 sales as the sales will e back on track.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 launched in November with sales way lower compared to EA’s expectations, however, an industry analyst thinks that Star Wars Battlefront 2 sales will bounce back on track due to Star Wars fans’ loyalty.
According to Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, jumping to the conclusion about Star Wars Battlefront 2 sales is a little premature as the fan’s loyalty will bring the retail sales back on track.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 was one of the most anticipated titles on 2017 following up to the game’s beta which revealed the monetization plans of EA for the game that the community didn’t find fair.
While microtransactions have been disabling in Star Wars Battlefront 2 but it couldn’t make the game sell well and eventually the sales fell well below expectations .
Also, Criterion Games has assured that they will be rolling out new offline content for the game in the form of new DLC.
“We’ve already adjusted some of our plans for future DLC at Criterion because of the demand we’ve been hearing for more offline content since the game shipped. We’re working on what that content might be, but we’re certainly not deaf to what players are asking for more of.”
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is an action-shooter developed by EA DICE for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
