Samsung might launch the Galaxy Tab S4 alongside Galaxy S9 and S9+ at this year’s MWC
“The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a 10.5-inch display and Android 8.0 Oreo”
As we already know, Samsung has scheduled an Unpacked event on February 25th in Barcelona, where the brand will launch its S9 and S9+ flagship duo. Now, a new device has appeared on GFXBench benchmarking website and it is being speculated to be launched alongside the flagships at the Unpacked event. The new device is said to be the Galaxy Tab S4 tablet, which comes bearing the model number SM-T835.
According to the GFXBench listing, the Galaxy Tab S4 will come as a successor to last year’s Galaxy Tab S3 ( first impressions) with model number SM-T820/SM-825. The upcoming tablet will ship with a 10.5-inch display, with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The tablet will boot Android Oreo out of the box and will be powered by an octa-core 2.3GHz CPU, which has been mated to Adreno 540 GPU. This configuration points towards the presence of the last-generation top-tier Snapdragon 835 SoC. The processor will come backed by 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. In the imaging department, there is a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Other details of the tablet are unknown at the moment.
To recap on the Galaxy Tab S3, it comes with a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED QXGA HDR Ready display. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage. The camera department includes a 13-megapixel primary snapper and a 5-megapixel secondary shooter. The tablet comes with support for 4G and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery, which supports fast charging out of the box.
Since the Galaxy Tab S3 was launched by the brand at last year’s MWC, we can expect its successor to follow suit. 91mobiles will be on the floor at MWC this year, so stay tuned.
