ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted, “If fired Pitt coach Kevin Stallings gets paid the speculated buyout of $9.4 million, the school would have paid him more than $500,000 PER WIN over his two seasons there.”

Well, how do you know you screwed up massively with a hire? I think there is a perfect video to sum up this situation.
They might have paid this dude $500,000 per win. Let that sink in for a little bit. Whoever handed Stallings this contract should be banned from ever being involved with college athletics ever again.
That is one of the craziest contracts I’ve ever heard of. Paying any college coach more than $250,000 per win is outrageous, and even that might even be a bit much if it’s anybody other than Coach K.
How? How does this happen? It’s a move like this that gets everybody fired that was involved in the decision. Don’t hate on Stallings, though. He’s a man after his millions of dollars. I can’t fault him for getting paid. I most certainly fault the morons that approved this contract.
